Official Czech laissez-passer photo requirements for 2026. Size, background and rules. Create a compliant photo online.
Image Created with AI for IllustrationA Czech emergency travel document addresses an urgent journey when a citizen does not have a usable passport. The Consulate General in Manchester describes a document valid for a limited period and a single one-way journey to the Czech Republic. That purpose makes the intended route central to the application, rather than treating the document as a general passport replacement.
The consular process asks for evidence from which identity can be established, and its child-application checklist includes two passport-size photographs. The receiving mission’s instructions determine the photo submission for the actual applicant. A child’s portrait should show the child clearly, without substituting a parent’s identity image or an old family photograph.
Review the photo requirements below with our framing, background, facial expression and photo quality explanations. A current likeness helps connect the traveller to the available evidence, especially after a passport has been lost. Prepare matching prints if requested and keep them protected while gathering the remaining documents.
The Czechia page links to ordinary Czech passport guidance, and the embassy and consulate directory helps locate the mission handling the emergency. Gather the available identity documents and itinerary before contacting it. The visa finder assists preliminary route research, but confirm acceptance of this particular emergency document for any transit and the booked journey.

Your face must be fully visible with a neutral expression for easy identification and facial recognition.
