Official Guinean visa photo requirements for 2026. Size, background and rules. Create a compliant photo online.
Image Created with AI for IllustrationTravelers who need a visa for Guinea are directed to the Police de l’Air et des Frontières online service. The official portal explains that submitting an application is a request for consideration, not an approval. Prepare the photograph as part of that individual application and keep it separate from the passport scan and evidence describing the journey.
Guinea’s embassy in Rome directs visa applicants to this same electronic platform and distinguishes supporting documents by travel purpose, such as an invitation for business or accommodation information for tourism. Our visa finder helps you explore the relevant destination information, while the official portal determines which fields and attachments your application requires.
For the portrait, use a current recognisable likeness with enough detail to remain clear after export. Review photo quality and image resolution before selecting the final digital delivery format; the detailed photo guidance below is useful preparation, but the live upload screen controls the accepted file parameters. Do not treat the passport’s scanned data page as the separate portrait when the application asks for both.
Keep a copy of the submitted image and the application reference together. If the portal or consular service requests a replacement, you can supply a revised file without rebuilding the entire dossier. Our embassy and consulate directory can help locate Guinean representation for questions about the appropriate visa route. Match the photograph to the named traveler, especially when arranging several applications for the same trip.
Photo dimensions must be precise to avoid rejection. The face-to-frame ratio is equally important for proper identification.
Use a plain, distraction-free background. We replace it automatically to meet official criteria.
Proper lighting ensures your photo is clear and natural. Uneven exposure or artificial glare can lead to rejection.
Your face must be fully visible with a neutral expression for easy identification and facial recognition.
Glasses are allowed only if they do not obstruct visibility. Headwear is permitted only for valid medical or religious reasons.
Improper posture can lead to application rejection. Your face and shoulders should be correctly aligned and fully visible.
