Maldivian Passport Photo

A Recent Digital Original for Your Maldivian Passport

Maldives Immigration asks passport applicants for a digital photograph taken within one month of the application. Its FAQ specifically distinguishes that original image from a scanned print or a photograph of another photograph. For an IMUGA application, preserving the digital original is therefore an important part of preparing the file, rather than simply finding any existing passport-size picture.

The application also includes the applicant’s digital signature, with additional documents according to the request. The portal records progress and sends notifications as the file is verified and moves towards payment and collection. Keep the portrait and signature associated with the same applicant’s identity documents throughout the submission.

Choose a recognisable likeness and review photo quality, framing, background and facial expression using the detailed guidance below. Our digital delivery format and image resolution guides help prepare the upload without degrading facial detail. The Immigration photo standard includes age-sensitive provisions for young children, so an infant’s image should be assessed under the appropriate guidance. Once the passport for travel from the Maldives is organised, our visa finder can help explore the destination’s separate requirements. Retain the original photograph until processing is complete so a requested correction can be made without reshooting a print.
