The background is determined by the requirements for the country and document selected in your order. It is not a decorative choice.

Different authorities may require white, off-white, light grey, another colour, or a specific digital treatment. Our software analyses the uploaded photo and applies the background used for the selected document where that adjustment is permitted.

Choose the correct country and document before uploading. You should not manually replace or recolour the background after the photo has been prepared, because that can make it non-compliant.
