A sharp passport photo shows clear facial details without motion blur or missed focus. View the original image at full size and inspect the eyes, eyelashes, eyebrows, hairline, nose, and mouth. Their edges should look defined rather than smeared, doubled, or unusually soft. If the whole face looks hazy, take another photo with a steady camera and enough light.
