Photo Preparation Under Armenia’s Diplomatic Passport Procedure

Armenia’s diplomatic passport procedure connects the application with an authorised official request. The Foreign Ministry’s December 2023 order sets out the Consular Department’s role and the documents used to establish the applicant’s identity. Preparing the portrait should follow that diplomatic procedure, rather than the ordinary consular passport-renewal checklist.

The order lists two colour photographs measuring 35 × 45 mm and taken within six months, with an explicit exception for a passport containing biometric data. Confirm which route applies to your request before arranging prints. The supporting material includes the application and a copy of a valid Armenian citizen’s passport or identity card; eligible family applications have additional relationship documents.

For the image itself, examine the photo requirements below and the explanations of framing, background, facial expression and photo quality. Use an accurate, current likeness rather than an older official portrait chosen because it is already available. The print dimensions and recency are only part of making a face suitable for document identification.

Our Armenia page provides related Armenian document context, while the embassy and consulate directory helps locate official representation contacts. Keep your identity documents and authorisation material together when coordinating with the responsible service. The visa finder can support early destination research, followed by confirmation of the entry arrangements for the particular assignment. A diplomatic passport application and any destination accreditation are separate administrative steps, even when both relate to the same journey.
