Official Aruban diplomatic passport photo requirements for 2026. Size, background and rules. Create a compliant photo online.
Image Created with AI for IllustrationFor authorised official travel on behalf of Aruba, diplomatic and service passports belong to the Kingdom of the Netherlands framework. They are not a separate Aruban nationality passport. Dutch government guidance directs eligible applicants travelling for the Netherlands or the Caribbean countries to Werken voor Nederland, Wereldwijd, known as 3W.
The 3W application guidance requests two recent passport photographs per person, no more than six months old and compliant with the Dutch photo matrix. It also asks for a copy of the holder page of a valid national passport or Dutch identity card. Confirm the arrangements for the specific official request and where personal attendance is required before submitting the application.
Use the photo requirements below to review the portrait and follow the explanations of framing, facial expression, background and photo quality. A current likeness matters when a document will be used during official travel. Keep the matching prints with the requested paperwork; a scan of the existing passport page and the new photographs are distinct application items.
Our Aruba page provides the Aruban context and related photo guidance. The responsible official service should confirm whether a diplomatic or service passport is appropriate for the assignment. Keep your supporting identity documents available, and use the embassy and consulate directory and visa finder when researching destination arrangements. The official passport application does not by itself settle any visa or accreditation procedure required for that journey.
Photo dimensions must be precise to avoid rejection. The face-to-frame ratio is equally important for proper identification.
Use a plain, distraction-free background. We replace it automatically to meet official criteria.
Proper lighting ensures your photo is clear and natural. Uneven exposure or artificial glare can lead to rejection.
Your face must be fully visible with a neutral expression for easy identification and facial recognition.
Glasses are allowed only if they do not obstruct visibility. Headwear is permitted only for valid medical or religious reasons.
Improper posture can lead to application rejection. Your face and shoulders should be correctly aligned and fully visible.
