A Caribbean Visa Portrait for a Visit to Aruba

For visitors who need a visa to Aruba, the relevant short-stay document is a Caribbean visa for the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It is not a Schengen visa for the European Netherlands. Confirming that distinction before preparing the application helps you choose the correct form and photographic instructions.

The tourism checklist published by NetherlandsWorldwide requests a recent color photograph meeting Dutch requirements. It also explains that applicants using an external service provider have a digital photograph taken at the appointment instead of bringing a separate photo. Follow the instructions for the place where you submit, rather than assuming one delivery method applies to every application.

Review the portrait and photo requirements, with attention to photo quality, framing and a recognizable likeness. The photograph supports the applicant’s identity alongside the passport and other identity documents; it does not replace the evidence of the visit’s purpose or travel arrangements. Keep any requested prints with the original documents needed for attendance.

Not every visitor needs this visa. Nationality and other circumstances affect the applicable route, so use the visa finder to start research and the embassy and consulate directory to locate the Dutch representation or relevant service point. If the trip also includes Europe, check that leg separately. The Caribbean visa’s geographical scope remains distinct even when the photograph follows Dutch standards.
