Where the Portrait Fits Into Cameroon’s Electronic Visa Journey

For an ordinary visa to Cameroon, the electronic application and the final photographic enrollment are connected stages. The Washington embassy’s January 2025 guidance covers regular and express transit, short-stay and long-stay applications. It describes uploading passport information and supporting documents online, receiving an authorization with a QR code, and then completing biometric enrollment for the visa.

The photograph and fingerprints are recorded at that later stage, either at the embassy or the entry point under the approved arrangements. The passport biodata copy submitted online is therefore not the same thing as a newly captured visa portrait. Keep the original passport and authorization accessible so the officers can connect you with the approved file.
