Your French Driving-License Portrait and Its Photo-Signature Code

For a French permis de conduire, the photograph is connected to the request to produce the license card. France Titres supports an e-photo service that links the portrait and digitised signature to the online request through a reference code. This is distinct from uploading a copy of an identity document as supporting evidence. Decide which photograph-delivery option your license request uses, then prepare the image and signature together for that route.

For the portrait itself, the official driving-license guidance specifies a recent colour photograph measuring 35 by 45 mm. The face should be centred and unobstructed, with the eyes visible and open against a plain light background. Inspect facial expression before capture and check the background for distractions. A photograph of an existing print is not a substitute for the requested original portrait.
