Gambian Driver's License Photo

Passport Photographs Alongside a Gambian Driver’s Test Application

The Gambia Police Force Traffic Department administers driver testing and licence issuance in Gambia. Its application procedure brings identity evidence and photographs into the same file as the driving assessment. The photograph identifies the candidate, while successful testing establishes the entitlement to drive; those are separate parts of the licensing process.

The police’s published guidance asks applicants to visit the driver-testing and licensing centre with national identification, a medical fitness certificate and two passport photographs. Its licensing page then describes completing the application and proceeding through the required assessment before collecting the licence after success. The photographs belong with the candidate’s own supporting identity documents.

Prepare two matching prints with a current portrait. Clear photo quality and consistent framing make the face easier to recognize across the paperwork. Our facial expression and background guides provide practical preparation, while the licensing centre’s instructions determine the final accepted format. The police checklist’s reference to passport photographs does not itself specify a numerical size on that page.

An existing foreign licence involves a different starting point from a first driving test. Identify the service appropriate to your driving history before submitting photographs with an unrelated form. Keeping the photo set, identity evidence and medical document together helps ensure that the candidate record corresponds to the person attending the licensing process.
