Guyanese Passport Photo

From Guyana’s Online Form to Your Passport Portrait Appointment

Applying for a passport from Guyana now combines online preparation with an appointment for the remaining processing. The Government’s passport portal lets applicants complete their details and choose an office. That digital starting point does not remove the personal identification stage: the Guyanese consular guidance for Trinidad and Tobago describes attendance for a photograph and biometrics.

The same consular checklist also requests two identical recent colour photographs for renewal of an existing machine-readable passport. This illustrates why it is useful to distinguish supplied copies from the image captured during enrolment. Follow the office handling your application, and use our embassy and consulate directory to locate its instructions before ordering prints.

A current recognisable likeness should be the priority when selecting the portrait. Review photo quality, facial expression and framing using the detailed guidance below. Keep the original image available rather than relying on a crop from the previous passport; the identity information and the photograph each need to reflect the application being made now.

Print the completed application where the mission requests it and organise the supporting identity documents with the appointment details. A name change or first passport may need different evidence from a straightforward replacement of an existing booklet. The photo preparation can happen alongside those checks, while the appointed passport office determines how the image and biometric information are entered into the new record.
