I-Kiribati Diplomatic Passport Photo

Selecting the Diplomatic Category in Kiribati’s Passport File

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration lists diplomatic and official passports as distinct services for Kiribati. Its adult application form also provides a diplomatic-passport selection. The photograph should be prepared as part of the authorised application for that category, while the Ministry determines whether the official role and request qualify for it.

Coordinate the portrait with the office managing the official paperwork. Confirm the current submission instructions and supporting identity documents before producing the final prints. Selecting the diplomatic box on a form does not replace the approval needed for the category, and an ordinary passport application should not be treated as sufficient evidence of entitlement.

Use a current recognisable likeness, with clear photo quality, suitable framing and a straightforward facial expression. The detailed photo specifications below help assess the image; our photo preparation instructions can support preparation before it is attached to the application. Keep a clean original available if the Ministry requests another output during processing.

The Ministry’s Protocol Section separately assists government officials with visa applications conveyed through diplomatic channels. That destination-visa work should be distinguished from issuing the passport itself. Use the visa finder for related entry information and confirm the official journey requirements with the responsible office. The portrait’s role remains to identify the named holder, regardless of the official purpose of travel.
