Iranian Visa Photo

Keeping the Iranian Visa Portrait Separate from the Passport Scan

An Iranian visa file includes a portrait of the traveller as well as an image of the passport’s personal-details page. Iran’s consular regulations distinguish those attachments and call for a recent front-facing photograph on a light background. Prepare a clean facial image rather than cutting the portrait out of a scan of the passport.

The distinction is practical: the passport page records the travel document, while the separate photograph represents the person making the request. Compare the image with the photo requirements below and use our framing, background, facial expression and photo quality explanations to review it. Preserve an accurate likeness, with facial details that remain clear after the file is exported.

Check the current electronic application’s image instructions before uploading the digital photograph. Physical print dimensions do not by themselves establish the required pixel dimensions or file limit. Keep the original photograph available so it can be exported again if needed, instead of repeatedly compressing an already reduced copy until the face becomes blurred.

The visa finder helps organise entry research, and the Iran page links to related Iranian document guidance. Locate the responsible representation through the embassy and consulate directory and confirm the category matching the purpose of the visit. Prepare the requested identity documents and supporting evidence together, then review the photograph and passport particulars before submission. A successful upload is only one stage in having the application assessed.
