Ivorian Driver's License Photo

Connecting an Ivorian Driver’s Portrait with the Licensing Record

The photograph associated with an Ivorian driving license identifies the person holding the relevant vehicle entitlements. The Ministry of Transport publishes separate application requirements for different license services, while its modernisation of theory testing includes biometric data and candidate management. The image belongs to that identification process, distinct from the tests that assess driving competence.

Confirm whether your request concerns a first license, renewal, replacement or conversion of a foreign document. Those routes require different supporting evidence, so a checklist for an international driving permit should not be used as the photo procedure for an ordinary license in Côte d’Ivoire. The receiving licensing service should confirm the current capture or supplied-photo arrangements.

For the portrait, aim for a recognisable likeness with clear framing and suitable facial expression. Our background and photo quality guides support preparation, and the detailed requirements below provide the visual checks. The explanation of biometrics is useful where the service records identity information as part of candidate verification.

Keep the requested identity documents and any examination or existing-license evidence ready for review. A photograph by itself does not show that the required tests or category conditions have been met. Our photo preparation instructions can help you prepare for photography, while the Ministry’s application checklist determines the accompanying papers. Check the actual service before purchasing prints so the final image is delivered in the way the licensing office can associate with your file.
