Official Ivorian visa photo requirements for 2026. Size, background and rules. Create a compliant photo online.
Image Created with AI for IllustrationCôte d’Ivoire’s e-Visa process combines online pre-enrolment with biometric enrolment on arrival at Abidjan airport. SNEDAI’s authorised service explains that the applicant travels with the approved pre-enrolment document and completes the airport stage before the visa is printed. The facial photograph is part of that arrival identification process.
The online file includes the passport identity page and travel or accommodation evidence. Those document uploads are different from the portrait recorded during enrolment. SNEDAI states that photography and the applicable fingerprint procedure are required for each visa request, even where the traveler has previously received Ivorian visas.
Prepare for a clear portrait with a recognisable likeness. Our framing, facial expression, background and photo quality guides help you understand the visual aim before travelling. The detailed requirements below cover photo appearance, while the explanation of biometrics puts the image in context with the other information recorded.
Keep the passport and approved pre-enrolment papers accessible for the airport service in Côte d’Ivoire. Use the visa finder to explore whether this route fits your travel circumstances; the online service specifies ordinary-passport holders, so other document categories need separate confirmation. Our embassy and consulate directory helps locate representation where a consular route is appropriate. Do not assume that completing the preliminary application or possessing a photograph from an earlier visa removes the need to follow the current enrolment instructions.
Photo dimensions must be precise to avoid rejection. The face-to-frame ratio is equally important for proper identification.
Use a plain, distraction-free background. We replace it automatically to meet official criteria.
Proper lighting ensures your photo is clear and natural. Uneven exposure or artificial glare can lead to rejection.
Your face must be fully visible with a neutral expression for easy identification and facial recognition.
Glasses are allowed only if they do not obstruct visibility. Headwear is permitted only for valid medical or religious reasons.
Improper posture can lead to application rejection. Your face and shoulders should be correctly aligned and fully visible.
