Official Kyrgyz ID photo requirements for 2026. Size, background and rules. Create a compliant photo online.
Image Created with AI for IllustrationThe ID card in Kyrgyzstan is also called the ID passport, but it should not be confused with the international travel booklet. For the online exchange service, the government portal describes taking a photograph with the camera of the applicant’s mobile device. The photograph is consequently a step within the application, rather than merely an attachment chosen from an old identity-card scan.
The portal allows use of the front or rear camera and instructs applicants to follow the displayed photo requirements. Before beginning, arrange suitable lighting and a plain background, then check that the portrait has a natural facial expression. Our framing and photo quality guidance helps you prepare the setting so the camera step can be completed clearly.
After the photograph, the service asks for information such as the reason for exchange and the collection location. The submitted request is reviewed before the payment and production stages. Keep that sequence in mind when checking progress: completing the camera step alone is not confirmation that the new card has been issued.
The photo should provide a recognisable likeness consistent with the application’s identity documents. Use the detailed specifications below for the visual checks, but follow the app’s own capture prompts rather than assuming a separately edited file can replace them. First issue and applications that do not qualify for online exchange may require a different route; confirm the applicable service before preparing additional paper photographs.
Photo dimensions must be precise to avoid rejection. The face-to-frame ratio is equally important for proper identification.
Use a plain, distraction-free background. We replace it automatically to meet official criteria.
Proper lighting ensures your photo is clear and natural. Uneven exposure or artificial glare can lead to rejection.
Your face must be fully visible with a neutral expression for easy identification and facial recognition.
Glasses are allowed only if they do not obstruct visibility. Headwear is permitted only for valid medical or religious reasons.
Improper posture can lead to application rejection. Your face and shoulders should be correctly aligned and fully visible.
