Luxembourger Driver's License Photo

The Application Photo Accompanying Luxembourg Driver Training

For a first driving licence in Luxembourg, the photograph is submitted with the training application rather than serving as proof of driving ability. Guichet.lu lists a recent front-facing passport photograph in the supporting documents, together with a medical certificate and identity-card copy. The application then follows the theory and practical learning arrangements for the requested category.

The photo should identify the learner consistently as the file moves through those stages. Keep the portrait with the correct identity documents, especially when a driving school helps organise the paperwork. A recognisable likeness is more useful than an image taken beside a vehicle or copied from an older driving document.

Review framing, photo quality, background and facial expression before producing the required prints; the measurements and detailed visual checks appear below. Renewal is a separate transaction from first-time training. The official renewal form also identifies opportunities to have a photograph taken at SNCA sites or the Guichet.lu reception desk. Choose the photographic arrangement that matches the service being used, keeping the current original available if a supplied copy is needed. Completing the image correctly supports the administrative file while the examinations establish the entitlement to drive.
