Malagasy Driver's License Photo

The Portrait Taken During Malagasy Licence Processing

For a driving licence in Madagascar, Torolalana’s government guidance includes a photograph taken during processing and the issue of a provisional attestation. The applicant later presents that attestation with their national identity card to collect the licence. The image belongs to the driver’s licensing record, while the attestation connects the processing stage to collection.

The government also publishes a medical driving-licence service describing photograph and fingerprint capture, an electronic signature and validation before printing. This illustrates why a driving-school photo or a copy of an old licence should not automatically be assumed to complete the official image requirements. Keep the relevant identity documents available for the service handling your request.

Prepare for a current portrait that provides a recognisable likeness. Review facial expression, framing and photo quality before attendance, using the detailed photo guidance below. Our biometrics explanation puts capture in context, while the prints guide is useful if the office requests additional physical material. The photograph identifies the driver; medical checks and driving qualifications establish different aspects of the application. Follow the instructions for first issue, medical processing or another transaction so the image is recorded against the correct licence file and personal details.
