Mozambican Diplomatic Passport Photo

Keeping the Individual Recognisable in Mozambique’s Diplomatic Travel Document

Finland’s official travel-document guidance for Mozambique lists diplomatic passports, including electronic passports, separately from ordinary and service documents. The distinction matters when preparing an image: a diplomatic passport identifies an individual holder within an official travel category, while the photograph remains a straightforward means of recognising that person.

A document-recognition list is not an application checklist. It establishes that the category is recognised for the destination concerned, but does not specify a Mozambican applicant’s photo count, submission channel or eligibility. Those details belong with the office coordinating the diplomatic passport request. Likewise, arrangements for a diplomatic visa issued to a foreign visitor to Mozambique should not be mistaken for the process of issuing a Mozambican diplomatic passport.

Use a current portrait with a recognisable likeness, paying attention to photo quality, framing, background and facial expression. The detailed guidance below covers visual preparation. Keep the image with the relevant identity documents and official request, supplying prints or a digital file only as instructed by the responsible service. Our biometrics guide explains the facial image’s identification role in an electronic document. For official travel from Mozambique, use our embassy and consulate directory to locate destination guidance and confirm the entry arrangements for the actual document category; recognition of a passport and permission for a particular visit remain separate considerations.
