Samoan Passport Photo

A Certified Likeness for Your Samoan Passport

A passport application for Samoa brings your photograph into a personal identity check: the person who certifies your identity on the form also endorses the back of one photograph. Immigration asks for two photos, so select the pair before arranging that signature. Replacing the image after certification can leave the endorsement referring to a different sitting. The portrait should give the certifier a clear, current view of you and remain consistent with the personal details in your supporting identity documents.

The application is available through Immigration in Samoa and designated overseas offices. For a child, the consent section is another part of the same file; a child’s photo should show the child alone, with any adult support kept outside the composition. Families applying together should keep each person’s prints and paperwork in separate labelled envelopes. Our embassy and consulate directory helps locate the mission relevant to an overseas application, whose submission arrangements should be checked before posting.

Choose a digital photograph with enough image resolution to produce clear copies, then inspect the actual paper result for soft detail or colour changes. Natural facial expression and a recognisable likeness matter more than cosmetic retouching. Use the photo requirements below to check the final crop, leaving the reverse of the designated photo available for certification. Keep an unsigned spare separate from the submitted pair in case the office requests another copy.
