Official Trinidadian and Tobagonian visa photo requirements for 2026. Size, background and rules. Create a compliant photo online.
Image Created with AI for IllustrationThe eVisa process for Trinidad & Tobago begins with a dedicated Check Your Photo tool before the application questions. Preparing the image early therefore removes one avoidable interruption when you are ready to enter passport details and upload supporting evidence. Use the visa finder to orient yourself, then follow the Immigration Division’s route for your nationality and intended journey.
The applicant portrait is a digital photograph, while the passport information page and other supporting records are uploaded as separate documents. Do not substitute a scan of the passport page for a new portrait. The official FAQ specifies accepted image formats and pixel limits, so check image resolution as well as visual photo quality; changing a filename alone does not convert an unsupported file into an acceptable image.
Keep a faithful recognisable likeness, balanced framing, unobstructed facial features and a calm facial expression. Consult the portal’s Photo Guide for its examples and prescribed background. Passing the initial checker does not prevent Immigration from requesting another photograph during review. The FAQ also acknowledges that automated checks can produce errors and explains alternative steps. Review the image and application carefully before final submission, because a paid, submitted application cannot simply be reopened for editing. The photograph supports identification; approval still depends on the complete travel application.
Photo dimensions must be precise to avoid rejection. The face-to-frame ratio is equally important for proper identification.
Use a plain, distraction-free background. We replace it automatically to meet official criteria.
Proper lighting ensures your photo is clear and natural. Uneven exposure or artificial glare can lead to rejection.
Your face must be fully visible with a neutral expression for easy identification and facial recognition.
Glasses are allowed only if they do not obstruct visibility. Headwear is permitted only for valid medical or religious reasons.
Improper posture can lead to application rejection. Your face and shoulders should be correctly aligned and fully visible.
