Official Turkish visa photo requirements for 2026. Size, background and rules. Create a compliant photo online.
Image Created with AI for IllustrationThe sticker-visa process for Turkey uses an online pre-application followed by the arrangements specified by the receiving mission or visa centre. This is distinct from the e-Visa route available to eligible travellers. Begin by establishing the appropriate route with the visa finder and official guidance, because an upload checklist for a sticker visa should not be assumed to apply to every form of travel permission.
Turkish consular instructions include a biometric photograph in the sticker-visa file. The Sydney mission’s online application guide shows it uploaded separately from supporting documents. Prepare a new digital photograph with a current recognisable likeness; a scan of the passport’s identification page is a different attachment. Use accurate framing, a natural facial expression and the background specified by the mission’s photo instructions.
Keep sufficient image resolution so the image remains clear after upload, and make matching prints if the appointment checklist requests them. Review photo quality before submitting the pre-application, then follow the receiving office’s instructions for presenting the passport and supporting evidence. Use the embassy and consulate directory to identify that office rather than applying another mission’s copy count or dimensions automatically. The portrait supports identification throughout the file, while the reason for travel and the applicant’s circumstances determine the supporting evidence and the decision on the visa.
Photo dimensions must be precise to avoid rejection. The face-to-frame ratio is equally important for proper identification.
Use a plain, distraction-free background. We replace it automatically to meet official criteria.
Proper lighting ensures your photo is clear and natural. Uneven exposure or artificial glare can lead to rejection.
Your face must be fully visible with a neutral expression for easy identification and facial recognition.
Glasses are allowed only if they do not obstruct visibility. Headwear is permitted only for valid medical or religious reasons.
Improper posture can lead to application rejection. Your face and shoulders should be correctly aligned and fully visible.
