One Brazilian Visitor-Visa Likeness for the Upload and Paper File

A visitor visa for Brazil is intended for an eligible short stay rather than establishing residence. The VIVIS category covers purposes including tourism, business and certain academic visits. The traveller’s photograph accompanies the explanation of that visit, so begin with the correct category through the visa finder before preparing the image and supporting material.

The Brazilian consulate in Chicago requires both an uploaded image and a printed photograph for its VIVIS process. Its checklist specifies a correctly sized photo on photographic paper. The applicant completes the online form, generates the application receipt called the RER, prints and signs it, and attaches the photograph in the indicated space. Uploading the file alone does not complete that photo submission.

Use the same current portrait when preparing the digital photograph and prints, checking that each retains adequate photo quality. Review framing after export and again on the paper copy: resizing for a form can change how much of the face appears. A consistent recognizable likeness helps connect the online application with the documents delivered to the consulate.
