The Face Recorded During Philippine National ID Registration

Philippine National ID registration combines demographic validation with the capture of biometric information. The Philippine Statistics Authority’s published process includes a front-facing image, fingerprints and an iris scan. For an applicant in Philippines, the portrait is consequently part of a registration-centre visit, linked to the information checked by the registration operator. It is more than a picture chosen for the appearance of the finished card.

The official process begins with presenting supporting documents at a registration centre. After validation and capture, the applicant reviews and confirms the information before receiving a transaction slip. Keep that slip: its reference number is used to track the ID and the availability of the paper-format credential. Check the requested identity documents before attending, and use the review stage to raise any incorrect personal details while they can be addressed in the registration workflow.

For portrait preparation, focus on a current recognisable likeness and an unobstructed view of the face. The photo requirements below explain the visual details, while the facial expression, framing and photo quality guides help you understand the capture step. The office’s biometrics process determines the image recorded, so a separately prepared digital photograph should not be assumed to complete enrolment. Our photo preparation guide can make the appointment more familiar. Review the displayed details carefully and preserve the transaction reference separately from any informal copies you keep for your own records.
