Portraits in Kiribati’s Longer-Stay Immigration Paperwork

For a longer stay in Kiribati, start with the immigration category that matches the purpose of residence, rather than assuming a separate standard residence-card application. The Ministry publishes distinct investment, student and other visa forms. These records can require photographs for more than one part of the file, particularly when family members or a medical assessment are involved.

The investment-visa form asks for two recent colour photographs of the principal applicant and separate images for accompanying family members included in the application. The medical form, where required for a longer stay, asks for its own recent photograph so the examining practitioner can confirm the applicant’s identity. Keep those image sets allocated to the correct person and document.

Prepare a current recognisable likeness, with clear photo quality, suitable framing and an appropriate facial expression. The detailed specifications below help assess the portrait; check the requested prints before writing the applicant’s name on the reverse where the form requires it. Keep the relevant identity documents available for comparison during any examination.

The medical form includes exceptions and conditions concerning when a new assessment is needed, so it should not be treated as compulsory for every resident. Use the visa finder to explore the appropriate route, then follow the Ministry’s checklist for that application. The photographs support the immigration record without establishing permission to remain independently of the rest of the assessment.
