Placing Your Photograph in a Kyrgyz Residence-Permit Request

A residence permit in Kyrgyzstan concerns a foreign national’s or stateless person’s continuing stay, rather than the short visit covered by a travel visa. The Ministry of Digital Development publishes separate guidance for temporary and permanent residence. Establish which request applies before preparing the photograph, because a visa upload or a citizenship application is not the same administrative service.

The Ministry’s permanent-residence checklist includes identity and supporting personal records, including criminal-record evidence. These papers establish the circumstances of the application; the portrait provides the visual link to the individual. Keep the photograph distinct from scans of identity documents so it can be supplied in the form requested by the receiving office.

Prepare a current recognisable likeness, reviewing framing, facial expression and photo quality against the detailed specifications below. Avoid copying the small picture from an existing permit, where wear, printed security patterns or scanning can obscure detail.
