The Certified Photo and Biometric Capture in a Lebanese Passport Request

A Lebanese biometric passport request combines identity paperwork with the applicant’s image and biometric information. General Security’s domestic checklist includes a recent colour photograph on white, certified by the local mukhtar, together with the relevant Lebanese identity or civil-status records. Preparing that certified photograph is part of assembling the application, rather than simply choosing any spare passport-size print.

Consular arrangements can differ and have recently changed in Washington. From 1 October 2026, the Embassy of Lebanon announced first-time biometric passport applications and in-person renewal appointments that include biometric submission and photography. If applying there, follow that current process instead of relying on an older postal-renewal checklist.
