Moroccan Residence Permit Photo

The Photograph in Morocco’s Foreign-Resident Registration File

A Moroccan residence dossier should be distinguished from the visa used to enter the country. The consular service explains that a person seeking to remain beyond the relevant permitted stay may need a registration card from the competent security services. The portrait identifies the foreign resident, while the supporting evidence establishes the basis for residence.

UNHCR’s guidance illustrates the specific route for a recognised refugee: after the national refugee-card stage, the person applies to the local police headquarters’ foreigners and documentation service. That checklist includes passport photographs, address evidence and other supporting papers. It is a category-specific example, not a universal document list for every foreign resident.

Prepare a current portrait with a recognisable likeness, reviewing photo quality, framing, background and facial expression using the detailed guidance below. Follow the local office’s required prints and keep them separate from copies of the passport or other identity documents. Our digital delivery format guide helps distinguish a photographic original from a scanned document. In Morocco, use the checklist for your actual residence basis, whether family, work or another recognised situation. A new image links the applicant to the file; it cannot replace the status evidence or make an entry visa equivalent to a residence card.
