Whether a visit to Western Sahara requires a visa depends on the traveller’s nationality, destination area and intended stay. UK government advice specifically describes British-citizen visits to the Moroccan-administered areas as visa-free for up to ninety days. That example should not be treated as an exemption for every passport or an instruction covering every part of the territory.

Where the relevant Moroccan consular route requires a visa, its application has its own photograph request. The Moroccan embassy in Vietnam, for example, asks for two colour identity photographs against a white background, together with the passport and visa form. Those instructions belong to that receiving mission, rather than a separately documented Western Sahara visa service.
