Solomon Islands Identity Photos and Electoral Registration

An ID photograph in the Solomon Islands needs to be tied to a named issuing service. Electoral registration is one relevant example, but it should not be described as an ordinary national identity-card application. The Electoral Commission’s biometric registration guidance explains that it records the face and neck together with thumbprints. It also states that registration no longer produces an ID card on the spot, unlike the earlier arrangement.
