Tajik Residence Permit Photo

The Portrait Attached to Tajik Permanent-Residence Documentation

A residence permit in Tajikistan records permission for permanent residence and is issued through the internal-affairs authorities. Tajik legislation distinguishes the permit for a foreign citizen from documentation for a stateless person. This distinction matters when preparing the application: the portrait identifies the holder, while the supporting evidence establishes which residence document the applicant can receive.

Keep the portrait consistent with the passport and other identity documents in the file. A current recognisable likeness is useful when an older passport image no longer reflects everyday appearance. Ask the responsible passport-registration office for the current submission method, including whether it requires prints or captures the image itself. The legal description of the permit does not establish a common photo count or file size for all applications.

If preparing an image, retain a clean digital photograph with clear framing, a plain background and enough photo quality for reproduction. Use a natural facial expression, avoiding edits that alter facial proportions. The detailed photo requirements below support this preparation after the office has confirmed the applicable format. Entry permission, temporary registration and permanent-residence documentation are different matters, so identify the correct service before copying a visa checklist. For questions arising before arrival, the embassy and consulate directory can help locate the appropriate Tajik contact while the internal-affairs authority handles the residence decision.
