Official Zimbabwean visa photo requirements for 2026. Size, background and rules. Create a compliant photo online.
Image Created with AI for IllustrationA visa photograph for Zimbabwe identifies the traveller within an application that also explains the visit. The Department of Immigration publishes distinct checklists for holidays, business and conferences. Each includes a passport photograph and a scan of the passport biodata page, but the supporting evidence changes with the purpose of travel.
For example, a holiday application can involve the destination address and a host’s invitation and identity evidence, while business applicants provide business correspondence and conference visitors provide an invitation to the event. Choose the appropriate category using the visa finder before assembling the files. The portrait should be supplied separately from the scan showing the passport’s printed identity documents.
Use a recent digital photograph that shows a clear recognisable likeness. A simple background, balanced light and suitable framing help the reviewer compare the face with the passport. Check image resolution and photo quality before uploading, since a tiny picture copied out of a scanned page may lose important detail. The photo preparation guide provide practical help with taking the image.
Follow the current eVisa portal’s file instructions for the actual upload rather than applying paper-photo measurements to a digital file without checking. If an embassy handles part of your case, use the embassy and consulate directory to reach it. A complete portrait file supports assessment of the application, while the relevant immigration decision determines permission to travel.
Photo dimensions must be precise to avoid rejection. The face-to-frame ratio is equally important for proper identification.
Use a plain, distraction-free background. We replace it automatically to meet official criteria.
Proper lighting ensures your photo is clear and natural. Uneven exposure or artificial glare can lead to rejection.
Your face must be fully visible with a neutral expression for easy identification and facial recognition.
Glasses are allowed only if they do not obstruct visibility. Headwear is permitted only for valid medical or religious reasons.
Improper posture can lead to application rejection. Your face and shoulders should be correctly aligned and fully visible.
