Pakistani Driver's License Photo

Matching a Pakistani Licence Portrait to the Right Issuing Authority

Driving-licence applications in Pakistan should be prepared for the authority handling the service, rather than treated as a single national photo-upload process. In Punjab, the official DLIMS service is now integrated with Dastak. Its online application checklist asks for a face picture separately from images of the front and back of the applicant’s CNIC. That separation is useful: the portrait of the person and the copy of an identity card perform different jobs.

Check whether you are seeking a learner permit, regular licence, renewal or another service before gathering files. Punjab’s portal describes different stages for its services, including payment and application tracking. Its instructions should not automatically be extended to another province or issuing authority. The licensing assessment and any medical evidence also remain separate from preparing an acceptable digital photograph. Use the current service screen to confirm format and size limits.

When taking the portrait, preserve a clear recognisable likeness instead of extracting a tiny image from a scanned CNIC. Review the photo requirements below and pay attention to photo quality, framing and facial expression; these help make the face identifiable after the file is processed. Keep the requested identity documents legible in their own attachments, and check that the correct applicant’s photograph accompanies them. Our photo preparation guide helps with image preparation, while the responsible licensing authority determines the application route and the driving entitlement ultimately issued.
