Official Pakistani visa photo requirements for 2026. Size, background and rules. Create a compliant photo online.
Image Created with AI for IllustrationThe Pakistan Online Visa System connects the traveller’s portrait with a particular visa application, including the selected purpose of travel and supporting evidence. Begin with the visa finder to identify the appropriate category for Pakistan, then check the official service instructions for that category. A correctly prepared portrait is one part of the submission; it cannot replace the passport or evidence explaining the proposed visit.
NADRA publishes both document-upload guidance and a photograph-capture guide for its mobile workflow. These describe different interactions with the service: general attachments can be uploaded, while the capture guide directs users through taking the portrait in the application. Follow the flow actually presented to you rather than assuming that every screen accepts a previously saved digital photograph. This distinction matters when switching between a browser application and the official mobile service.
Prepare a location with an even background and adequate light before starting the capture step. A clear recognisable likeness, suitable facial expression and sound framing reduce avoidable corrections. The photo requirements below explain the visual details, and the photo quality guide helps identify problems such as blur before submission. Keep your passport and other identity documents available as separate supporting files. If applying for family members, check each portrait against the application’s name and passport details before continuing, so an otherwise suitable image is not attached to the wrong traveller.
Photo dimensions must be precise to avoid rejection. The face-to-frame ratio is equally important for proper identification.
Use a plain, distraction-free background. We replace it automatically to meet official criteria.
Proper lighting ensures your photo is clear and natural. Uneven exposure or artificial glare can lead to rejection.
Your face must be fully visible with a neutral expression for easy identification and facial recognition.
Glasses are allowed only if they do not obstruct visibility. Headwear is permitted only for valid medical or religious reasons.
Improper posture can lead to application rejection. Your face and shoulders should be correctly aligned and fully visible.
